This program was first aired in mid 2008 and predicts the global economic crisis which was unknown then, but which is now in the headlines daily. In this program the economic crisis is identified as originating in the USA and is predicted to be "coming to your neighborhood soon." You need to hear this! |

In Rev 6:6 it reads, “And I heard a voice in the midst of the four creatures say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of bqarley for a penny; and see that you hurt not the oil and the wine. The part of not huring the oil and wine and Eliyahu’s perspective that this is the rich and that they may be the ones causing such things is so relevant. As you hear of people losing their jobs, homes, etc., you can see others driving around in rolls royces, living in mansions, etc… What you see are these groups of individuals who are appearing to prosper while others are becoming homeless, it really seems the black horse rider has been released.
Eliyahu mentions, “The difference here from other times in history when the famine affected certain geographic areas, this is a world wide crises never seen before.” The news confirms this analysis.
I understand what Eliyahu means about not wanting to look at the sheer weight of human suffering. This explains what I have been trying to avoid.
I can not imagine trying to live on $2 a day. Pres. Bush had it right there. It is unjust and it is not stable.
I feel helpless to do anything about it to the scale that there is a need. I can try and contribute to organizations who are trying to help; but, even then, only a few can be helped.
In an earlier program you mentioned land as being a element of this poverty. People are being forced off land that they could use to grow food, and moved into slum areas. The unjustness is truly horrifying. How long, O Yahweh, before you correct this gross injustice? Proverbs promises the intervention of Yahweh for the poor, fatherless, and widows. Also, it contains warning to those who remove the boundaries of the poor. Who eat up the poor, fatherless, and widows. Our Elohim is a Righteous Judge and He will avenge them!

Hearing this program again is a good exercise for me. The stats and information in it are mind boggling and very disheartening. Clearly the balance of free trade and open markets in this world has been polluted with corporate greed. You know, I use that term “corporate greed” like it refers to some non-human entity. But there are humans who are behind the decisions made in the “corporate” world. They will be judged for sure. I thought I was a capitalist, but perhaps my definition of capitalism is different than the world’s definition.
Didn’t Yeshua say that “they (the world) would know that you are Mine for you will have love for one another.”? I know He was speaking to His talmidim, but come on, where is the love here? Show me the love! There clearly ain’t no love in this system. What fools they are, those who run this world’s system. “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” I do believe someone famous said that…didn’t He?
Shalom,
Don
