Evil Day Preparedness - #60
Posted by TsiyonFeb 23
After two programs about the Evil Day some of you have asked how to prepare - and even whether to prepare. The list of conditions Messiah foretold for this generation in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 sounds quite daunting: wars, famines, plagues, earthquakes, natural disasters, social unrest, terror, big signs in the sky, hatred, persecution, betrayal, false prophets, increasing iniquity, love of many growing cold. How can we possibly prepare for all of that? And isn’t God going to just protect us no matter what we do? Don’t count on that one friends. Bad things DO happen to good people sometimes, which is why we need to follow the Word to be wise. In this program we focus on the recommended Scriptural response to all of these end time troubles that are sure to get increasingly more intense as we continue to move rapidly onward toward the climax of this age. You CAN be ready for the evil day! This program will tell you how!

Ben David,
Off topic a bit, but I would wonder what Bible Version you prefer or recommend? Is it the “Complete Jewish Bible,” the “Orthodox Jewish Bible,” the “Scriptures” (out of the Institute for Scripture Research), or some other?
As a sidelight, I wonder if you wouldn’t mind taking a look at my Context Group Version at http://www.wanderingheretic.com/CGVersion/html/index.html. I don’t transliterate Hewbrew words (as I really don’t think that fulfills the role of “translator”) but I do try to get across first century Hebrew concepts where available.

Caine,
In my personal study I mostly use a variety of Bibles and resources in Esword. Bibles include all the ones you mention as well as HNV, NAS, Amplified, various permutations of the JKV, LXX and interlinears. I have not found a single Bible that does it for me. I have to deconstruct a verse, phrase or word at a time for myself, in dependence upon the Spirit, to be sure I’m getting the true picture. Since you are a Bible translator you already understand what many Bible readers do not. Namely, that the translator does not just do a word for word translation from the Hebrew or Greek into the English since that is not really possible. There is an interpretive element in translation that is necessarily influenced by the scope of the theological understanding of the translator and other factors. Nothing against Bible translators in that statement, simply acknowledging the fact that human error and limitation often creeps into translations of the Scriptures, as in everything that humans do. I took a brief look at your translation, not enough to make a sweeping assessment. However, I did like that you put words added for clarification in brackets. That shows a respect for the original inspired text which is a real confidence builder.

Proverb 6 brings so many observations to mind. A couple of summers ago while I was cutting back the coneflowers, I was bitten on my hand by an ant. I had a reaction that made hives over every square inch of my body even inside my ears. I’ll spare the details but need to express stating that it was horrible would be an understatement. It gave my husband such a scare he called a pest control service to treat whole perimeter of the house for ants every month. Before the service we usually just had one ant mound in the front garden and one in the back garden. Now around 5 mounds have popped up in the back and 4 or five in the front. How crazy is that? You try to kill them off, and they just scatter and set up residence somewhere else, leaving everything they worked for behind. I sure don’t want to be like the gazelle, and I sure never thought I’d be seeking the lifestyle of the ant. Thinking even more deeply on this aspect, the context of the verse in Proverbs 6 follows:
1My son, if you have become surety for your neighbor,
Have given a pledge for a stranger,
2If you have been snared with the words of your mouth,
Have been caught with the words of your mouth,
3Do this then, my son, and deliver yourself;
Since you have come into the hand of your neighbor,
Go, humble yourself, and importune your neighbor.
4Give no sleep to your eyes,
Nor slumber to your eyelids;
5Deliver yourself like a gazelle from the hunter’s hand
And like a bird from the hand of the fowler.
6Go to the ant, O sluggard,
Observe her ways and be wise,
7Which, having no chief,
Officer or ruler,
8Prepares her food in the summer
And gathers her provision in the harvest.
9How long will you lie down, O sluggard?
When will you arise from your sleep?
10″A little sleep, a little slumber,
A little folding of the hands to rest”–
11Your POVERTY WILL COME in like a vagabond
And your need like an ARMED MAN.
Because Yahweh loves us, He is giving us clear warnings in His Word. It’s so clear that if we don’t start to make serious changes, we will be in poverty and become an armed man. The signs are all around us confirming this to be so true. Guns and bullets are in high demand, with ever increasing sales. WorldNetDaily is selling an acre worth of non genetically altered seeds, DVDs and instruction manuals on stocking your own food supply, instruction manuals for guidelines on surviving the collapse of this nation – these warnings are coming from another source outside of scripture, and so confirms the truth of things to come. But the ant can’t survive on it’s own, only in unison with the colony.
Blessings in Messiah,
Kim

Greetings to all,
First and foremost ….”The more you rely on the world the more you depend on it.”We need to return to God.I pray for this everyday as I go foreward in my life.In our house we have gone simple on many things. Both with eating real food and turning off real TV.We have began our exodus out of Egypt or Babylon if you will, and as a house are returning to what is important.I pray for all those out there that are coming back to God.We need to stand proud with each other and proclaim the Kingdom.

I believe that if we are looking towards China and Europe for the fulfillment of End Time Beast Prophecies that we may be looking in the wrong direction. The Middle East is where the action is. Turkey being the seat of the Beast; Saudi Arabia the finances, and Iran/Iraq plays their part in the Triune powers of the enemy. Islam and the followers of Allah are being positioned all over the world in preparation for the final battle.
In the mean time, the scripture does teach that in the last days nation shall rise against nation, etc. We are seeing so many of the signs that Yahshua gave His disciples. Unconventional warfare makes sense given the internet and global resources. It is amazing how many different ways man can declare and wage war against one another.
It also makes sense to me that the enemy would move on the minds of unsaved men to adopt these unorthodox strategies. America is one of the nations that are filled with the Outcasts of Israel. Since the enemy has declared war with Yahweh, any nation that holds His people, will be a target. One of the things I am concerned about though is that these might be smoke screens. I have read some interesting books that reveal the strategies of Islamic warriors and how they delcare and conduct war with “infidel” (as they see it) people/nations.
One of the things that I find interesting is the rise of companies who are trying to buy up all the gold…We can learn from the past. During WWII, there was a great smuggling of gold, silver, jewels, precious art out of Europe. With the collapse of any country, their currency takes a direct hit. The logistics of how Yahweh brings biblical prophecy to pass is beyond me; however, this program was very interesting and the information is definitely food for thought. Hold on to gold, silver, gems, etc. Learn to live simply , prepare and pray, pray, pray.

What can be done, to prepare for the Day of the Lord?
We must look to the ants, and do not become bored!
Messiah warns us all, to beware of the snare,
the trap’s been set, by the Prince of the air!
Hebraic thinking is works, and not to wait,
befriending Yeshua, not waiting for grace!
We must think like God’s Nation, be in community,
pray for individuals revealed, to be set free!
Pray we have the strength to escape, we must obey!
Become self sufficient, from the worldly praise!
The world’s system is passing away,
it’s not the car you drive, or the flag you raise!
But belief in Yeshua, with works to be done,
the coming birth pangs, will be no fun!
Restoration should be, the one thing on our minds,
an exiled nation, all thinking in kind!
A set apart people, Torah for all!
Good News of the Kingdom restored from the fall!
The Law in our hearts, we hear them all say,
starting with Sabbath, observing His Way!

I jumped ahead of my Talmidim schedule at the recommendation of my wife who has just listened to this program. She recommended that I listen because it lines up with our thinking and it gives the listener an overview, with some detail, of what the plan is for this ministry during the time when this country (USA) and the rest of the world for that matter, takes a major decline in its way of life and the standard of living to which most of us have grown accustomed. We, too, have begun the transition to a more simpler lifestyle. Not an easy thing when we find that we our “married” to our computer and the technology of the day.
Getting off the Grid is a very appealing thing for me. I beleive this country is on its way out as a superpower and as a “moral compass” for this world. Its decline in the past 45 years is quite evident, from the leadership on down to the common man on the street. I could go on and on but then I might be labelled un-American. I don’t really care. America has been
anti-God for quite some time. When its all said and done and I’m standing before Yahweh is He going to ask if I was a true American Patriot (whatever that means)? I don’t think He will. I expect for Him to ask me, “Don, what did you do with My Son while living your life on My Earth?”
I hope my answer pleases Him.
I’ve digressed from the topic.
Transitioning from learning how to survive individually (or as a single family) to living in a community will be a drastic shift in midset for me. But one that I am warming up to. I’ve been raised to be able to stand on my own two feet and to pull my own weight. Relying on others in this society usually brings on frustration for me. That might be because I and they have different goals and standards. Living in a community where everyone is on the same page, and everyone has a real stake in the success of the community is quite appealing. I will certainly move toward that goal as Yahweh leads and provides.
Shalom,
Don

I am so much in agreement to live like the ant. I desire to be in community with like minded believers, and for all of us to provide support for one another & I desire to get prepared WITH like minded believers. I posted more on this program on the community forum back in 2008.

Okay, I find this program interesting for many reasons. First of all, my husband and I looked up ants with our kids today and we discovered that it is the females that do the working in a colony. God’s people are called the bride or referred to as ‘her’. Just thought that was an intellectually interesting point.
Secondly, I have been talking for the last 3 years about how our society is so isolating and continues to cut family off from family and person from person. The difficulty of living divided from a heritage and nation is something I am very familiar with in my personal and daily life.
I often tell a story about women in african cultures and how they function. Many of these women don’t have cribs or other ways of keeping children safe from the many dangers of the world we live in, so they create a human crib by gathering all the small children together in the center of a ‘crib’ made out of the mothers who are at the same time in fellowship with one another, working together on things that support their families and community, and caring for the children and their needs for love and discipline. I personally would give up many of my modern convinence for the fellowship and community pictured here.
Just the joy of being together can bring a relief into our lives. Add to this they fact that stress dose not build on one person, but rather is shared throughout the group which keeps all at peace so long as they are of like mind, and you have the makings of a healthy body of people who can weather many things. Again, you add to this the faith of God’s people and they will be the overcomers!
My joy is exceeding to see that the nation that I desire is found in the true Israel…those who support and lift one another up because they are of like mind to live according to what God has put in place for our own good and his eternal glory.
Peace to all who seek YAWH!

TRIBESMAN, FREE YOURSELVES FROM THE SNARE OF SATAN!!!! This world system has nothing to offer me, so I consider the world system nothing but TOTAL DUNG!!!! We dont rent movies, aint got cable, dont watch t.v., we dont gamble, (we live in Vegas), because Yahweh RIPPED it right out of all of us. As the Head of my house, my family has learned that wwhen Yahweh speaks to Dad, we do as he says. We made a covenant with each other, that we would follow Yeshua no matter what He says, and no matter where HE tells us to go!!!! Because we are Jews and we understand covenant, we dont mess around when it comes to keeping a covenant promise. So, as Yahweh speaks to me (the authority), my family automatically does what is instructed, because they know if they go against what Yahweh says, trouble with a capital T is coming. You see, when you get out from what the world teaches, and you LIVE the principles of Yah, people will criticize you, mock you, call you a male chauvanist, tell you your a CULT leader, and all sorts of other things, but what happens is you start to develop a Hard spiritual shell after a while, and you can can still LOVE these people because yyou WALK in HIs POwer, and Love!!! When we become diligent in working like an ant for Yah, when the evil day comes we will be prepared!! Remember friends we are Jews. Lets act like. Did you know that the word Jew comes from the prim root YADAH? It means to be a worshipper, or a praiser of Yah. This is exciting because when you follow Yahweh through His Son, guess what, you become a YADAH, thats right, youu become a JEW, a worshipper and praiser of Yah!!!! So C”MON TRIBESMAN!!!! Lets start living as a tribal nation of people under our ELOHIM!!! LOVE YOU ALL!!!

This program is very enlightening. The way the scriptures in Proverbs 6:5-6 is expounded on gives me simple instuctions which I’ve never considered in this way when tied to Luke 21:34-36. I have for sometime been preparing for a more self sufficient lifestyle but I have a long way to go. I have an emergency backpack with survial gear, and am gaining knowledge of edible “weeds” but as of now I am pretty much a lone ant. I am taking heed from now on thanks to Yeshua’s words and your exposing these to listeners. I need to work at connecting to a community of believers. Thank you so much for bringing these things to mind.
