Yeshua’s Family Album #04
Posted by TsiyonJan 28
You can often learn a lot about a person by getting to know their family. This is no less true of Yeshua the Messiah. Starting with this program we start taking a look at some “snapshots” of some of Yeshua’s family as found in Scripture. In this program we will focus especially on the Savior’s mom, Miriam, Miriam’s cousin, Elishiva and Elishiva’s husband Zacharyah - or, if you wish, Mary, Elizabeth and Zechariah. You probably haven’t heard this message before!

Once again, this teaching brought forth beautiful Hebraic insights, like family secrets-so intriguing! How excited the two women must be to be with each other, in strengthening and rejoicing! Two miracles!
Both consecrated, pure, walking righteously, blamelessly before YHVH Who meets us in the Holy Place when we commune with Him. When we have a calling upon our lives by YHVH, I believe we are filled by His Holy Spirit from our mother’s womb; though we may stumble, we do sense His guidance and protection upon us, as in the nation Israel?
The calling is “to make ready a people prepared for YHVH”, and that surely will bring forth a division of those who will/will not turn back to HIM.
Being a priest, more is expected of Zecharyah.
“When his days of service were fulifilled”-7 days, and he was resting from his works?
Elisheva was coy at her age though joyous, and can’t wait to tell the whole world; and Miriam was only 14-16 years of age! So true of traditional marriages, match-made between families of equal standing-Nazarites, a family heritage to be cherished.
“Be it unto me” as YHVH wills is such dedication, befitting of our Redeemer’s physical mother-a vessel of honour to YHVH.
Bless you, Ester.

Talk about some juicy content! Move over shallow daytime soaps! YHWH’s book has got the goods! Hearing this story through Eliyahu & Dawn giving a deeper perspective of the circumstances of the real life aspects and emotions that must have been involved, is very entertaining and yet a historically educating journey through the holy scriptures! I can’t wait to listen to the next segment.

The Family Album what an a great way to view the participants in this great stage Yah has set before us. I truly enjoyed all of the background information on each of the characters in this chapter in the Book of Life. It was also very helpful to know the Nazarite/Nazarene background to truly understand Miriams response to the Messenger of Yah. I am your bondservant!!!!
And of course, I have thoughts/observations/questions: Things that stand out and make me wonder: First, Is their a correlation of time in the future of the next forerunner? Does Yohanon the forefunner and the Messiah’s first appearance…i.e. 6 months apart correlate in the future return of the forerunner and the Messiah’s second coming since everything Yahweh does is connected….just food for thought. Of course, I guess I also need to look at how much sooner was Yohanon out preaching repentence before the Messiah began his ministry…ahhhhhhhhh questions, questions, see what your studies do…
Secondly, I can’t help but wonder since Elisheba obviously was keeping her pregnancy a secret (hiding)…had she not told anyone, including Miriam. And, oh isn’t it just like a woman (I can say this because I am one - smile), to once they figure something out to want to run to the person and say OH YEAH, NOW I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE HIDING….I would love to have seen the look on Elisheba’s face when Miriam spilled the beans so to speak, something that could have only been told to her by a messenger of Yah…. Oh so the saga continues…looking forward to listening to #5 Family Album page 2.
Shalom,
Christine

In the world….being pregnant without a husband is not a positive experience..being pregnant at Elisheva’s age is ridiculed as well so if it is considered wrong today what must it have been 2000 years ago? I struggle trying to separate the two worlds. The rejection of your peers, the 1st hand encounter with messengers of Hashem, becoming mute because of doubt. I stand in awe of them…their obedience no matter the social implications, the ridicule, the gossip. These people had to know the FATHER in a way I have only dreamed of and cannot really imagine. I yearn for that relationship of total trust…no matter what!
Yah’s ways are so much different than the ways I have learned in my life. I continue walking the road back to Tsiyon.

What a blessed insight into the lives of Yahshua’s family. I have heard these stories all my life but never with such insight into the private lives of those involved. It makes each of them become not just a name in a book but people with real fears, joys and insecurities yet they are call righteous by Yahweh. It should give us all hope!

YHWH might ignore our ranting but He really watches how we walk. He is a revealer
of mysteries to them that seek Him and a confounder to His opposers. Those higher
paths that we hope someday to travel He has already established, all we must do is
start walking. It is fearful to walk on an unknown trail but if;YHWH has set you upon it you can trust that He will guide you along it.

I find it simply amazing that YHWH will use people that obviously have character flaws. Even though they are righteous in His sight… This is a great lesson for all of us.
Praise YHWH!

Greetings new brother Vincent, and all brothers and sisters in Messiah,
I know that YHWH can use the weak and the broken and the foolish to rub mans self-righteousness in his face. Wisdom often fills unsightly vessels, and by unglorified men is it bridled. The wise among us have probably spent most of their lives unlearning the false
teachings of the world. YHWH will write upon the blank slate and ignore the scribble-filled page.

Shameless Plug Warning…..
It is about this time that I really love being aTsiyon Ministry Partner.Being able to print the transcripts and follow along are very helpful.
I enjoyed this “snapshot”. It is important to have our players in this amazing story straight.Their stories of faith and immediate trust in YHWH are of the first witness to Yeshua. This closer look at the family is going to be exciting as the series continues.
This is a great time to re read the begining of the 4 Gospels, for reference.Amazing how these verses come alive now.

Yeshua’s Family Album snapshots, beginning with Zacharias and Elizabeth, the depth of the verses is so overwhelming. Consecrated to God and Yah shall remember begin the Gospel story from before conception- Nothing is impossible with God!Walk in righteousness and gain wisdom with Yeshua walking with you, this is how we must turn the disobedient to repentance with the wisdom of righteousness. The family secret is about to unfold into the glorious Lord, thanx again for these wonderful , insightful teachings. May we all be like Mary in saying “may it be done according to your WORD.”

The message I’m left with seeing the incredible blessings bestowed upon Miriam and Elishiva is to wash my dingy robes, make them white, and strive to be a part of the purified bride. I see Miriam and Elishiva as so humble, so righteous, and so willing to do whatever YHWH wills, and He used them in His mighty works. I see through these two incredible women that divine blessings come to those faithful servants, the bondslaves. As my call to Him has been “here am I, send me,” I want to be a part of His plan, whatever His will is for me, I shall seek to be like Miriam and Elishiva. Shalom to all, Kim

Yeshua’s Family Album 1
What a wonderful teaching! While listening to this program, we were encouraged by several dynamic key points/themes upon which Eliyahu & Dawn expounded and we eagerly await further studies which, we are confident, will continue to flesh out these concepts:
1) …barrenness and miraculous birth. Just as with the matriarchs Sarah, Rebecca and Rachel, so too, Elizabeth and Mary continue in this experience revealing that the birth of the mighty nation of Israel, climaxing with the arrival of the Messiah, is inextricably tied to divine intervention and purpose. There is much encouragement in knowing that there were intercessory prayers involved in this miraculous work and that G-d desires to partner with His creation through their acts of faith!
2) “Righteousness” is a walk of faith, not an inner quality. To demonstrate righteousness is to imply G-D is walking with you.
3) Both the ministries of John and Yeshua brought about division, requiring the remnant to come out of a veiled religion of confusion and into the Truth. The expectation that Elijah must precede the coming of the Messiah will usher in true Teshuva from the faithful ones. Once again, Hebraic thought brilliantly foretells the relevancy of this pattern in prophecy for our generation as it is this same repentance from the religion of man which will be required at the appearance of Elijah, the second time, before the return of Messiah and the “great and dreadful day of the L-RD” (Malachi 4:5).
4) …an eloquent and Scriptural exegesis of the title “Nazarene” as being far more than a mere geographic descriptor. Rather, through this unique program, we peer beyond the surface and delve deep into a characterization of the function and family responsibility placed upon the Davidic dynasty.
How unsearchable are His riches….
Blessings in Messiah,
Michael & Summer

04 Yeshua’s Family Album
Shalom! Many Blessings to Tsiyon, Eliyahu and Dawn! This ministry is anointed by the Ruach HaQodesh! Praise be to YHWH for being a covenant making and keeping G-D! The one TRUE G-D! Praise by to YESHUA for being the ultimate blameless sacrifice, our ransom paid in full.
There are so many Mary’s… Miriams… throughout the Bible that I have been lost and confused for years. I know as I follow along the programs and with my research everything will become much clearer! Your explanation brings great understanding of who is who of Yeshua’s family.
SO let me get this straight.
Zakharya (Zechariah) is the husband to Elisheva (Elizabeth) who were the parents of Yochanan (John).
Elisheva (Elizabeth) is related to Miriam (Mary). **I was not able to pin down if she was a Levite or a descendant of David or partly both that would make her either the cousin or aunt of Miriam (Mary).**
Miriam (Mary) a descendent of David, was the wife of Yosef (Joseph) and the mother of Yeshua (Jesus/Joshua). However, Miriam and Yosef was not married but promised, at the time of the Immaculate Conception, while Miriam was still a virgin.
Yosef (Joseph) a descendent of David and earthly father figure to Yeshua (Jesus/Joshua).
Yeshua (Jesus/Joshua) a descendent of David, the Messiah, the lamb of G-d, the redeemer.
I never really understood how important a name can be due to the meaning of the name in its self. It is easy to see the importance of a name when looking at them from a Hebraic perspective. However, at first I had a hard time understanding the meaning of Miruam (Mary) as Bitter. Now, I understand how she could not have been blessed without experiencing the bitterness of becoming and experiencing motherhood to Yeshua.
Unfortunately, I personally cannot fathom motherhood and certainly not during that time. It must have been hard, harder then when compared to today’s times.
I have a better understanding of the time period of Yeshua and Yochanan (John) and what righteousness really means. I am striving to have righteousness shine outwardly from me, which in its self is a great feat in today’s times.
Still amazed and seeking to learn more.
Shalom!
