The Father and the Son Their Relationship #19
Posted by TsiyonMay 13
[60 mins in mp3] The Greco-Roman theological concept that seeks to explain God, commonly referred to as the Trinity, often leaves people confused. What is right about the Trinity? What is wrong with it? Does it leave any vital information out of the “God formula?” Can a Hebraic perspective give us deeper insight into the nature of that relationship of the Father and the Son? What IS the nature of the relationship of the Father and the Son? Do we have any common ground with that relationship to understand it? What does it really mean that Yeshua is called the “Son of God?” What do the Scriptures really tell us about that? This program cuts through the confusion. Don’t miss it!

It’s hard to unlearn culture when you live in it. Some people don’t have the advantage of a good example to have guided them, yet find themselves having to be guides.

Love is the reason, obedience is the how….I think that is an awesome statement. I also think it is the downfall in many relationships that I have seen both between couples and between individuals and Yah. Somehow HaSatan has convinced so many that Yah is Love and that HIS Love is all encompassing and is a gift that requires nothing from us. Although, it truly is a gift, however to constitute a relationship there needs to be a response…a response of obedience. And as you so eloquently stated, the perfect example is right before our eyes between Our Heavenly Father and His Son, our Saviour. We see perfect fellowship which is what we should strive for with each other.
One thing I wondered is you mentioned that God is never referred to in the feminine. And, I do agree that He is described as Our Father. I wondered what you thought about the fact that the Holy Spirit is translated as a feminine noun. And I am assuming you will address this later as you stated when you were referencing the Spirit.
Shalom,
Christine

I am very happy that the Father and the Son have decided to allow us to be part of their family and that this eternal family is based on love not on control as in the world’s systems. When love is preeminent there is no reason to not submit and obey because then there is trust.

Another wonderfull program. There is a good development that I am getting.I am starting to see the scriptures in a linear fashion.Almost as a fixed beginning with all that has happened in between.Through the days of the prophets through to Y’shua through to us.Understanding this relationship gives us the inside “story” if you will that explains all things. The Unity expressed with their relationship is our best guide against the world’s lessons that serve to inslave us, if you will.Taking away “Submission” or “Obey”,you would not have Y’shua.
Also during this hour I had a feeling of the absolute power that Y’shua must posses.Going back to the Linear since of all time.As we trevail he has the power to overcome all and knows all that we will ever face.Pretty convincing reason to get to know him and walk with him.Exciting to know he is there waiting for you ,me and all of us before we were even created.I could think of nothing more I could submit to and obey than this Creative force of everything. It is us and wants to be us.It seeks us and calls to us.The World fights our nature and Y’shua’s nature holds us in comfort through any trial. As Paul said our “moment” on the stage is so small in the big picture.
Unity=Love Obey=Apply Father=Son
Blessins to all

Let your Bible do the talking,
more like Yeshua do the walking!
Father, Son one in the same,
Feel the love, Praise their names!
Know the Son, know the Father,
Holy Spirit will take you farther.
Teach Your ways, we must observe,
calling all who chose to serve!
Obey the Words that you hear,
Holy redemption will draw near!
Father wants more Sons of Glory,
heed the call of this story.
Sons of God will be revealed,
know these truths, they are real!

If you love Me, you will keep my commandments…Faith (in who He is, and what He is about)works by love. Love is said to be an action verb. If you love someone, you do what is best for them. Yahweh loves us, He does what is best for us. We love him, we acknowledge and do those things that He tells us to because it is in our best interest. The Ruach Hakodesh connects us to the Father and the Son. The Ruach Hakodesh knows what is the mind/will of the Father.
We can trust Yahshua to give us exactly that which the Father has ordained. There is no conflict between the Father and the Son. A lot of misunderstanding could be cleared up if we would study the ancient hebrew. If we understand the middle eastern culture and how relationships worked together, it would be easier for us in the western culture to understand this relationship between the father and the son. One of the reasons why it is so important for us to put on Yahsua is so that others will see the Father.
In Isaiah 11:2-4: And the Holy Spirit of Yahweh shall rest upon Him, the Holy Spirit of wisdom and knowledge, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirt of judgment and of the fear of Yahweh: and He shall not judge after the sight of His eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of His ears: But with righteousness shall He judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth…
This passage is written of Yahshua and we can be sure that it is the very character of Abba Yahweh.
The natural man cannot receive these things, they are foolishness to him.
A man must be born again…

Greetings,
All of my life I had been taught and trained to stand up on my own two feet. I have adopted the mindset that if you want something done right do it yourself. I have set the bar very low for my fellow man and I have grown to expect very little from them.
While this attitude reduces the stress and frustration associated with living in this world it also fosters independence. I always thought that was a good thing and in some respects it is, but in me it caused me to rely less on God for the things that are important, like fellowship and guidance.
This program is forcing me to look closely at the relationship that Yahweh has with Yeshua. Their love and fellowship and oneness.
I had always resisted the thought that Yeshua was somehow less than the Father but now I understand that He was speaking of the authority that the Father has over Him. I know now that Yeshua would have it no other way. I am getting use to the term “The God Family”. I like it. It explains or makes sense of the hierarchy of the Father and the Son relationship without diminishing the Son or taking His divinity away. They are ONE. The Father and the Son are ONE.
It sure is comforting to know that Yahweh doesn’t expect us to fully understand these concepts. But I don’t have to FULLY understand them in order for me to love and honor and obey and serve Him and His Son.
Shalom.
Don

I believe the first mention of love in Scripture (in Genesis 22) , the love of Abraham for his son Isaac, gives us a beautiful earthly picture of the love of our Heavenly Father for His Son. This story not only captures the love of a righteous man for his son and the torment he must have suffered to have offered his life as a living sacrifice, this story also captures the love of his son, who was obedient to his father unto death.
I’m amazed that the Son of God has sanctified us by His precious blood so that we too may be sons of The Living God !
The hard part though it seems is we need to do the same as Yahushua ha Mashiach, considering ourselves dead, that we might live. I have found that in my life when I do this that I experience the greatest joy from Him. He is our great reward !
It is written that
“He that has my commandments and keeps them, he it is that loves me; but he that loves me shall be loved by my Father, and I will love him and will manifest myself to him.
I know this is the safest and bestest place we can ever be ; right in the center of YaHuWaH’s will.

This Father and Son relationship between Yahweh and Yeshua reveal many things to me especially how things are designed to function in this world. This is the Father’s order and is the most perfect with no flaw whatsoever. This teaching has reinforced my motives for obedience. I want to do what Yahweh says because He knows what is best for me. I listened to this program yesterday and today and during my daily scripture reading I read 2 John verse 6 “And this is love, that we walk after his commandments” This to me is God speaking no coincidence.

I have learned so much about “Unity” or “oneness”, in these last few lessons. Its the very thing we humans lack. Unity with the Father, His Son, our relationships here on Earth, with the children of God.
We live in such a me, me,me society, that it can drown out the deep truths of our God. Again, thats why its so important to get away from it all by yourself to hear from Yahweh.
Every interaction the Father and Son had, was out of Love. Everything the Father did for the Son was out of Love. Everything the Son did unto His father was out of Love. Love was the very core of their beings. We were created in that image. In the image of Love,of obedience, of submission, of needing the correct order of Authority in our relationships. It was all for our good. I think it breaks thier heart to see us in the shape we are in. Thats why He has a greater plan to make it all right. To give us what we were made for. Praise Yahweh, that we can come into that fellowship thru Yeshua. There is Hope! There is always Hope with Yahweh.
I love the comment that LOVE IS THE REASON AND OBEDIENCE IS THE HOW! How true. It seperates us from Him when we get out of line with the plan He has for our lives. When we go about the path in our own way and thinking we have control, boy do we begin to see that things arent going quite right.
One thing that stood out this morning as I was listening was that the Son is the head over all things, and He is to be obeyed equally with the Father. We have to honor Him and in doing so we honor the Father. I have at times gotten confused as to who exactly do I pray to, the Father or the Son?? I always prayed in Yeshuas name, yet more directly to the father. I know that I have to go through Yeshua to get to the Father and that Yeshua intercedes on my behalf. It was neat to see that He needs to be God to me just as Yahweh is. We must honor Yeshua in order to honor the Father. Yeshua said, all that belongs to the Father, belongs to Me. We belong to Him and we need to honor Him.
Praise Yahweh that His purpose is to bring many Sons to Glory. Praise Yeshua that He sanctifies us. God is LOVE!!

Perfect unity and oneness, pefect love, obedience and submission. I have learned so much about all of these things through this and the previous session. For everything that is good and right we must look to our Father YHWH and His perfect Son Yeshua. I was so moved by the picture painted in this session and am beginning to understand the real meaning of love. Love is just one more thing that we have got so totally messed up in our fallen state. Without the Father and the Son to guide us, how can we possibly know what real love is?
Obedience is key. Yeshua tells us that if we love Him, we will obey Him; but still so much of mankind refuses to submit and many teach that obedience is not necessary. Eliyahu is right, submission and obedience have become dirty words today. What a precious lesson our Messiah Himself has taught us about the truth of this.
Another revealing session. Thank you.

How blessed we are that we can enter into the fellowship between the Father and His Son. I am more than happy to submit myself to Yeshua, He has proved over and over again that He loves me and only wants what’s good for me. So many times I take back authority in my life only to mess up and give the reigns back to Yeshua. I am learning to submit myself in Yeshua’s perfect example of His submission to the Father.
Thank you Eliyahu for opening my eyes and heart to these truths. I am blessed by YHWH through you!

God’s nature is as a Father. Fatherhood and Sonship is God’s nature; eqality with each other. This brings to my thought the scripture, “I and my Father are One.”
Yeshua defines love as obediance. The NT is full of Yeshua saying, “If you love me keep my commandments”!
I wonder why we have not understood this in various religions and have thrown out commandments as obsolete. One hear’s, we are not under the Law.
“…not my will but thy will be done”. Exactly what Father commanded him. He submitted to His authority.
This is Yeshua’s eternal relationship with the Father. Father, living in Yeshua, doing the work. He speaks with exact authority of the Father. We must honor the Son just as we honor the Father. Father made everything for the Son because of His Love for His Son! This is eternal love which is beyond mere human comprehension.
Yeshua made a perfect man to redeem our lives. We belong to God when we receive that sacrifice and are then called “brothers” or sons and heirs!! Halleluyah

It really blows my mind that we are included in this family. To be considered fellow heirs? What an amazing thing our messiah and Yah have done for us. This teaching is helping me to understand all of those very complicated relationships that have been so confusing to us as believers. I’m excited to hear the rest.

During the course of this lesson, it became clear to me why the family and fatherhood are under such attack: It is because these are core characteristics of God! Obedience, submission and patriarchy - all concepts increasingly hated by the world - are at the heart of the God-Family, God the Father, God the Son and the Spirit of their relationship, God the Holy Spirit. Of course, Satan in his futile attempt to take God’s place attacks everything that has to do with God. If we follow God, personally walking with Him, there will be peace and harmony; if we do not, then we follow Satan, and there will be strife and destruction, for whereas God creates and gives life, Satan can only destroy and kill; God is Truth, and Satan is the father of all lies and was a liar from the beginning.
Returning to the lesson, Fatherhood did not originate with the human family, but the human family is modelled (we are created in the image of God) on the God-Family. The Father is the source but does all in love for the Son who does all in love for the Father in obedience and submission. This does not make Him less, as the Greco-Roman way of thinking would say, but as Yeshua Himself testified He and the Father are one; the Father being in Him and He in the Father - a mystery that our limited minds cannot comprehend but, nonetheless, under the tutelage of the Holy Spirit we can bow in reverence and grow spiritually from that revelation.
The Son is the Word through whom and by whom all things were made and who is the manifestation of God, being the One who visited Abraham and spoke with Moses, and who said that through Him we see the Father, whom no man has seen. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life; through Him, the Gate of Yahwe, we can come to the Father.
The Son is to be honored. Read Psalm 2 and 110. Consider that is He who will judge us. Consdier further that the Father wants the Son to be honored. Consider that the Son - especially the firstborn - (as in Hebraic culture) speaks with the authority of the Father, but Yeshua did not/does not speak from Himself but in obedience and submission to the Father. It is He who holds all things together. Consider what would be the outcome, were all things to be loosed into self-seeking independence - lawlessness, chaos and destruction. (The film “Event Horizon” brought that home to me.)
Yet, imagine, it is God’s purpose to take more sons into His family. We are to be adopted into His family and to share in the fellowship, love and glory. Imagine! Stop and think about that for a moment … Truly, as Paul wrote, the difficulties of this present and very temporary world are nothing compared to that!
Praise be to God for these teachings. Now, at last, I am coming to understand something of these mysteries, coming to understand what the Scriptures say about them - at long last.
Praise be to God.
