HEY HEY TRIBESMEN!!

As I was listening and following along in my NASB version, I noticed that some of the verses for example Isaiah 64:24 does not even exist in my version. That passage only goes up to verse 12. WOW!!

I also noticed that some of the scriptures that Dawn was reading was NOT EVEN CLOSE to what the NASB or King James was saying. This is amazing to me. Is this a case of the translators perverting our modern translations and leaving things out? I am in total agreement with the Targum, I just don't understand why so many verses of modern translations are missing verses that the Targum has. Can you help me understand this? thanks crigger

The Targums are fascinating. What's really cool is that they reflect the mainstream understanding of scripture at the time of Messiah.

So the common thought and belief was that God has a plural nature (i.e. The Word (The Memra) and the Father are inextricably bound together yet are two distinct persons); and the other major belief is that The Messiah, (The Word), is Divine. I guess that should go without saying since the first statement is true about the plural nature of God.

The Targums--this pre-first century, contemporary translation of the prophecy of Isaiah written 30 years before Messiah's birth substantiates the beliefs of the Jews at the time of Messiah.

This should make it nearly impossible for the Jews, especially in the first century to #1. Deny Yeshua as Messiah, & #2. Change their teachings concerning The Word and Messiah. Yet we see that both have happened. We being human, have a flawed nature. Mix that with a few centuries of time and I guess anything is possible. What's great is that YHWH remembers all things, especially His covenants. And Praise His name for that fact, otherwise we all would be lost and in quite a mess.

Shalom,

It takes courage to follow Yahshua whether you are jew nor non-jew. It often costs relationship with community and family to follow Him.

I appreciate learning of these translations from hebrew sources that reveal Yahshua as Messiah. He is the Way, the Truth, and the LIfe. He is the express image of Abba Yahweh.

I look forward to the Day that Yahshua's enemies are made His footstool. Blessings.

It has become very clear to me about how the Word, Logos, Memra, Truth etc. are all wrapped up in person of Messiah and that He is the expression of the Father to us being that we cannot see the Father. Knowing this helps to make my faith stronger, as I can be sure that Y'shua is who He says that He is and that He will keep his promises.

Isaiah is great book of prophesy concerning the coming of the Messiah. Amazing how the Jewish community understand the teachings 30 yrs before Messiah was born. They understood that the Messiah was a divine personage & not just another man, but yet many of them didn't apply the teachings to Yeshua as the Messiah. How sad that today, the Jewish community doesn't even read or know what the book of Isaiah says. The non- believing rabbis today won't even talk about the book of Isaiah. I pray that all their eyes be open to Yeshua being the Messiah & that He is the Son of God.

What a great program. Thank U.
