The initial fulfillment of Messiah’s Olivet prophecy was upon the 1st century Jewish System centered around Jerusalem and its Temple which came to a violent end in 70 C.E. - Just as predicted by Messiah. The destruction of Jerusalem and its Temple was the judgment that He had pronounced against apostate Judeans in the Temple just days before He was violently murdered as a result of their evil scheme against Him. Even more amazing than the judgment upon Jerusalem is the documented fact of history that ALL of the thousands of Messianic believers of Jerusalem and Judea escaped that destruction! Messiah’s followers recognized the sign He had given them to get out of the city in time, and they all escaped together to Pella, a place of safety in the mountains. Meanwhile, TWO MILLION apostate Judeans either lost their lives or their freedom to the Roman death machine as the City and its Temple were violently leveled with the ground! These two groups - the righteous followers of Messiah who escaped and the wicked apostates upon whom the judgment fell - were the final result of the 1st century separating work of Messiah and His followers in Judea which lasted through to the end of that generation. As Messiah told them all, there are only two Ways - one leads to life and the other to destruction. This generation in which the whole world now lives is soon destined to learn that same lesson!

Messiah described certain events occurring like birth pangs as signs of the End of the World and His Return in Kingdom power. This prophecy, often called the Olivet Sermon and contained in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21, is fulfilled upon two separate generations, like mirror images of each other. The initial fulfillment was upon the 1st century Jewish System centered around Jerusalem and its Temple which came to a startling end in 70 C.E. - Just as predicted by Messiah. The second fulfillment is meant for the last generation that would see all of the signs of the same prophecy fulfilled to conclude with the End of this World at the Return of Messiah in Kingdom power. These signs are in evidence all around us RIGHT NOW and indicate that we are presently living in the final generation of this Age. As we study how this amazing prophecy of Messiah has already been unerringly fulfilled on a previous generation we will learn important lessons to prepare us for earth-shaking events that are directly ahead. Be prepared! Hear this program!

“Kingdom Curses” is admittedly a strange theme, since the Kingdom is meant to bless all mankind. Nevertheless, in Biblical Hebraic teaching blessings for some nearly always involve curses for others. Accordingly, in Matthew 23 we find Messiah cursing the chief priests and scribes for their crimes against the Kingdom. He says; “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you shut up the Kingdom of Heaven against men; for you don’t enter in yourselves, neither do you allow those who are entering in to enter.” In a scathing rebuke He calls the Jerusalem leaders such things as hypocrites, blind guides, blind fools, serpents, offspring of vipers and murderers of the prophets and the righteous. More than that, He pronounces curses of woe, destruction and the lake of fire upon them! Many find such words shocking coming from the mouth of our gentle Messiah. Finally, you will understand these words in their true context in this teaching. (Matthew 23:14)
