Tsiyon Heights Messianic Radio

Some folks don’t think that a Messianic ministry should carry advertising or even ask a donation for content. The truth should be free, they say. We agree that the truth should be free! We do, in fact, provide our radio programs in many countries of the world free of charge to anyone who wants to listen on the radio or to our internet feeds.

We would really like to never have to ask a donation for anything - just give it all away. Our problem is the same as yours - everything costs money. Often airtime and bandwidth by which we distribute our programs free to others IS NOT free to us. That is not meant as a complaint, just the simple truth that we deal with every day.

Contributions simply are not enough to meet the costs involved in bringing this message to the entire world. Since bringing our Messianic message to the entire world is our mission we are forced to come to grips with these financial realities. In fact, His Word requires us to be good stewards of our resources to produce fruit for His Kingdom. In a nut shell, that is why we have advertising on our webpages and why we are willing to carry targeted advertising on our programs. It is a matter of good stewardship of our resources for the advancement of His Kingdom. Since we are ordinary people without a big personal bankroll or wealthy organization to fund us, we must do whatever we can to raise the funds needed to publish our message worldwide.

So how have we been doing so far? We began broadcasting in January of 2006 and already have expanded far beyond what we would have imagined in this short space of time. We started on Telstar 5 Satellite to all of North America and that has gone well. In April 2006 IFBN the Messianic station from Israel, on the net at inspiredfaith.org, asked us to come onboard with them. That expanded our listenership in the Messianic community. They broadcast via the internet and the Amos 2 Satellite, which has been very good for us. Since then other Messianic stations have been added to expand our reach within this vital and growing community.  In October 2006 we started broadcasting with World Harvest Radio - the famous Christian shortwave network that broadcasts globally from five strategically placed high-power transmitters. Frankly, this is a great airtime buy for us, but still costs a lot. However, from just two WHRI transmitters we are able to broadcast to a huge global audience in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa! We are the first Messianic program on World Harvest Radio, which has worked out great, bringing a lot of new interest to the Messianic world.

We concluded our first year of program startup broadcasting to all of North America, Europe, Israel and the Middle East, Africa, as well as parts of Asia. Of course, we also stream our program from the internet to many locations around the globe. In September 2006 we began offering our programs from our website as podcasts and that has done very well, also. In fact, we are consistently rated in the top half of the Top 100 at GodCast1000. The truth is, we are feeling the Wind of YHWH in our sails and our ship is on the move!

The forward momentum and widely expanding reach of our Tsiyon radio program offers a great opportunity for select advertising partners who could benefit from a targeted, and vastly growing, Messianic-friendl and/or Israel-friendly audience. We are discriminating about who we are willing to advertise on our program because we are not going to sell out our audience or our mission at any price. However, we believe that there are advertisers to the Messianic community whose advertising legitimately benefits our listeners while also helping us to pay the bills.
