Pastor My Lambs! #91
Posted by TsiyonSep 28
YHWH is the Great Shepherd and Israel is His flock. Even now He collects together His lambs. Y’shua Messiah is the Good Shepherd who lays down His life for the sheep. He warns against the hired shepherd who runs away and abandons the sheep in the face of danger. True pastors, under-shepherds, have been set in place by the Chief Shepherd and must look to His example and guidance to pastor His sheep. If you are called to be a pastor you will find it to be the hardest job you will ever love. It will take everything you have to lead the Master’s sometimes cantankerous sheep, but after a lifetime poured out for the flock you will receive a crown of glory reserved especially for those who lead well, in the love of the Lord. The true shepherd faces many occupational hazards but can overcome them all by never forgetting one thing. In this episode we learn the important secret of pastoring, directly from the Master’s lips. Not a pastor? You will still be blessed by this program as you are reminded how dearly you are loved as one of the Master’s sheep!

Greetings to all,
I love how we have really dug into these positions in detail. This is a tough one. I know that I myself want to share all that I have learned with people.I just don’t know what that will lead and don’t want to put restrictions on my expectations.I know that the time I spent now will equip me to help “lead” others later. I already get to teach in some capacities(Bible Studies,Sunday School,Youth Groups) and cherish every opportunity to fill in and do what I can. I have seen what a hungry seeker looks like, and I want to be able to lead them to what they need. I have had the feeling of mourning when one of my group is missing and wonder where they are. It is a special calling ,so I respect those that answer the call to lead Yah’s congregation. It is a special blessing to serve in a church. I think sometimes people get critical of Churches but don’t get involved either. They want to criticize the “Pastor” but do not contribute in the congregation. I am often amazed at all the little things that get done behind the scenes in the church “physical structure”. There are so many opportunities to serve and be as a Levi doing work in your Congregation. Even if people don’t know you do them, just you and Yahweh. All the while these people that serve, form a structure that supports the Pastor in our Modern congregations. Some day I will know how Yah will use me. For now I study and learn and prepare my heart to be a Bond-servant of Messiah. And I will do what I can until then to support the Pastor’s that Yah has selected for me now.
Blessings to all
Fred

Your insight into the temperment of a shepherd and how they relate to the sheep; which enables the shepherd to lead the sheep where he wants them to go, helped me to understand what it takes to be a shepherd. I have sat in congregations of those who truly had a shepherd’s heart, and I have sat in congregations of those who did not.
To be able to love the sheep and to lay down your life for them is an astounding thing. Perhaps, people in training to be a shepherd should be sent to the field to tend sheep instead of seminary…
I personally have found out how hard it can be to lay down your life for others while working in a ministry. To continue to lay down your life for those who are railing at you, stealing from you, lieing about you, and attacking you, does indeed take the Ruach of Yahweh to be able to do.
To love Yahshua at a level where you would be willing to continue to
care for the sheep in the face of these things, is a question that is answered in the fire. I can definitely empathize with Peter when Yahshua asked if Peter loved him on three different levels.
Any of us who have been walking in Yahshua for any time, can truly respect those who are true shepherds.

Good teaching on what being a Pastor is all about, or at least should be. Pastor = Shepherd. Clearly the scripture bears this out. I have known a few pastors in my time. Some were the “hired hands” that Yeshua warned about and the others truly had a heart for the people. It doesn’t take long to see which type they are. For the ones who are true shepherds this can be a lonely, thankless job. No doubt they need to stay close to Yeshua and focus on His desire that they continue to feed His lambs.
Shalom,
Don

Yes, I am reminded of Yahweh’s love everyday. To pe a part of His sheep is a great honor.
He gets all the glory and honor.
Also to add, pastering isn’t a easy job. U must have a heart for Yahweh, focus on Him for all things, a heart for the people, & to serve,
All pastors mush hear this message more than once.

What a need the Body of Messiah has for true pastors. This program has helped me to consider the function of a pastor as Yahweh intended and also why the believers have so many problems and conduct themselves like the world. It seems we have a majority of hired shephards which explains the state the believers are in. I have also come to consider and appreciate the burden true shephards have. Henceforth I want to have a more tender heart towards pastors instead of being overly critical. This program helped me to come to this choice.

Where have all the pastors gone?
What if I told you, there was really only one?
One Pastor in charge of His wonderful flock,
under shepherds, to help with this holy walk!
The Good Shepherd reigns from on high!
deals with His flock daily, ever wonder why?
His love for us, will never end,
the stretched out arms of love, comprehend?
He laid down His life for us, He came to serve!
Church leaders now, just want to preserve,
their continuing education, from the offering plate,
they KNOW their religion, but i feel it’s too late!
Repent and return, not part of their structure,
obedience to God, seems to have lost it’s luster!
They worship their god, with traditions of men,
a golden calf worship, that over takes them!
One body, one mind, one shepherd, you will find,
return to this love, by renewing your mind!

GREETINGS TRIBESMEN!!!
I want to encourage all of you to take a close look at the position that Yahweh has given to Eliyahu.
Yeshua is the Chief Shepherd and Eliyahu is the under shepherd. Eliyahu is taking good care of the sheepfold of our time. He is very kind and gentle and loving. He encourages us and he also gives us great wisdom and understanding.
He genuinely cares about us individually. He pours himself out so that we will become more like Yeshua. He looks after us with sincerity and dedication. He doesn’t beat us or whip us. He is strong, and will smite the wolves or bears that will try to harm us. He will lay down his life for the sheep.
He is NOT a hireling, because he cant be bought!! He is not moved by his emotions, but he is moved by the Spirit of Yahweh. He carries the rod and staff to comfort and discipline us. He always points us to the ways of righteousness and holiness.
He is a giving, loving, strong, kind gentle shepherd who waits to hear from Yahweh before he makes decisions.
Yahweh has truly chosen the BEST MAN on this planet to shepherd His people back to our green pastures of Israel. His heart has been purged and will continue to be purged because he is a human being and he is not perfect, but he has found favor in the eyes of Yahweh to gather HIS remnant sheep and get us back to our land that we so long for.
I praise my heavenly father Yahweh for my brother and friend Eliyahu ben David. He is a true shepherd and bond servant to our God Yahweh Ha’ EL YON!!!! I love you brother
