Passover Doom and Deliverance #120

The day before Messiah’s last Passover on earth He pronounced doom upon that unbelieving generation of Judea, finally saying; “..your house is left to you desolate.” With these words notice was served that YHWH had withdrawn from the Temple and the apostate worship centered there in that generation, leaving the apostates to the doom which was the consequences of their own actions. Immediately following, on Passover eve, Messiah conferred His rightful Kingdom authority in Israel upon the Messianic leaders He had chosen, saying; “I confer on you a kingdom, even as my Father conferred [it] on me.” With these actions Messiah transferred the rightful authority in Israel away from the religious leaders recognized by that religious system and to His followers, the remnant of faithful Israel. The rest of the time in that generation was devoted to a separating of Judea into two groups, the wicked and the righteous, who soon would be manifested as the damned and the delivered. All would choose one side or the other as there could be no middle ground. The historical record as conveyed through the Jewish priest-historian Josephus of what occurred on Passovers following throughout that generation undeniably supports the truthfulness of Messiah’s words. As we examine the historical record you will see that YHWH had, in fact, abandoned the Temple cult and left them to a horrible doom, while delivering the righteous followers of Messiah with a very tangible deliverance from that same doom. All of this is important for us to contemplate on this Passover, since we live in a parallel generation that is also fast moving towards a similar inevitable end with only one of two outcomes possible for each of us - namely, doom or deliverance. (Matthew 23:37-38, Luke 22:29,30)

Lesser-Known Passovers #119

The new Torah Year of 6008 is here and Passover quickly approaches. As we know, Passover commemorates the first Passover of Israel coming out of Egypt and finds it’s fulfillment in the sacrifice of the Lamb of God. However, there have been other lesser known Passovers that are both instructive and inspiring to consider. Do you know what happened during the first Passover of Joshua/Y’shua and the first generation of Israel to enter the Promised Land? How about the year the Temple was built? One of my favorites was the Passover called by King Josiah/YoshiYah that was held after Israel had LOST THE TORAH - yes, the Torah was actually lost and forgotten - and then found again! And how about the “revival” and Passover of Hezekiah/Y’chizqiYah that was greater than any Passover of any of the kings of Israel? Do you want an example of “grace” in the “Old Testament”? Then you will love this story! In this program we also answer the question: Is Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread together 7 days or 8 days long? Is Passover to be commemorated on the evening of the 14th or the 15th of Aviv? What do the Scriptures say? What does the priest, Josephus, say was the practice in the first century? The Matrix - The War #117

In The Matrix the fledgling Neo learns the true nature of the world from his mentor, Morpheus. Ordinary people had always seemed so hamless and benign to Neo. Now Neo was learning that very passivity of the masses is the thing that makes them dangerous to everyone who is truly free. Because the masses are passive, yet fully invested in the system, the unseen enemies can enter through any of them at any time and use them as a destructive weapon against those who have broken free. In this war for men’s minds the people Neo is trying to set free are the very persons who can become the agents of his destruction. This should ring true for every follower of Messiah! It is also a fitting name for this episode of our program, even though our actual theme is: Listener Questions. One question we will be answering concerns the return of the Remnant of Israel back to the Land of Israel in the Second Exodus. This astounding event is foretold by the prophets and includes some unique details.
