Post-Ascension Kingdom Order #65
Posted by TsiyonMar 30
After Messiah ascended to heaven it would be up to his disciples / talmidim to represent His Kingdom in the world. The record of how they undertook that great commission is found in the Bible book of Acts. Many people mistakenly think of Acts as the story of how the “new religion” of Christianity got started. However, as we take more than a surface look at the first chapter of Acts we find nothing about starting a new religion. What we find is a meeting of the leadership of those first believers, giving us a look into the internal government of the early believers in those first days after Messiah left them to the work. Rather than starting something new we find them continuing something that had been around already for a very long time. What they were continuing is the Kingdom Government of Israel which was already well-established in their midst. This look into a meeting of the earliest eldership of the early Messianic believers will open your eyes to a whole different book of Acts than the one you may have always heard about. Acts is the story of the faithful Remnant of Israel in action!

Greetings to all,
Amazing to hear the organization of the first Believers in Y’shua.I guess it stands to reason because Satan loves Chaos.Just as he wanted us to synchronize or time with him leaving Egypt ,so we are all on the same page. Thus eliminating Chaos in observances. So these early believers carried forth respecting Yah’s choices and direction not there own.
I must also admit that I never caught the list of requirements to be a replacement here for Judas. It is a telling list because it lets us know that others have Tarried with Y’shua for quiet awhile since John. So there where obviously others as well.Amazing, but if you came face to face with Y’shua you would not leave his side either. The fact that his fame spreads to this day through all that fell on Jerusalem in the next 100 years after his passing shows us that his impact was huge and obviously lasting.
Can’t wait for the next show on Pentecost!!
Blessings to all,
Fred

As this program continues Kingdom Order as evidenced in the Book of Acts, I am really excited to see certain elements revealed that give us a glimpse into how things were done after Yahsuah’s ascension. The requirements that were necessary for the appointment of a replacement for Judas Iscariot are laid out here as the elders came together to appoint this man. There were two in this group, Yoseph called Bar-Nava, and Mattiyahu that seemed to fill these requirements. Then, what is interesting is that the others prayed and gave lots and trusted Yahweh to pick the successor. I do remember this method being used as a part of Israelite decisions in the Tanach. Judas Iscariot being selected by lot is interesting.
Given that these 12 men represented the 12 tribes, it would stand that each were from one of the 12 tribes??? I do not know. One thing that I have heard is that Jochanan was a levite, and this is why he did not immediately enter the tomb that once held Yahshua. If this is true, Yoseph called Bar-Nava, also being a levite could not be chosen since there would be two within the 12 emmisaries??? Just a thought.
Anyway, another man called Mattiyahu was selected to fill this spot. These men were following the established pattern, not creating a new one.
One thing I would like to say is that being a woman, I am glad to hear when men take up their place as leaders in the home and in the congregation of Yahweh.

The “new” religion of the Acts, wasn’t scripture they never knew,
was the restoration, of the Kingdom being renewed!
Peter in the midst of them, was not exalted alone,
he was with his peers it seems, not on a papel throne!
Yeshua was intent, to get scripture fulfilled,
instructed the emissaries, to complete the mission still!
Following Kingdom order, to which Yeshua set,
the emissaries took their place, as leaders being met!
Upon demise of Judas, his spot to be refilled,
casting lots, they get the man, seems it’s Yahweh’s will!
Emissaries endowed with Spirit driven power,
now their mission becomes, a lifelong Spirit endeavor!
We know it’s true, they gave their lives,
if was false, they would have avoided the strife!
Healing in a shadow, rejoicing while in prison!
The truth they have in Messiah, is abosolute Spirit driven!
Nothing in the Acts, about starting a “new” religion,
all that happens here, is Spirit presence driven!

This is a great picture/example of how the leadership of Israel among the earlier believers had functioned in Kingdom order that was already established by Yeshua Himself and should be a pattern for us believers to follow today. This is sad of how this great insight, understanding and teaching is missed in the church today and even in the Messianic Congregations that I have attended. B/c of this lack of understanding in the church today, the church sees themselves as separate from Israel. It is great to have this insight & understanding and Praise YHWH for giving us this insight and understanding so we can learn to follow Him in His Ways alone.
Another great program.

BEAUTIFUL LESSON MY TRIBESMAN!!! Casting lots is a BEAUTIFUL thing, and is NOT to be taken LIGHTLY!! There have been times in my life, when I had absolutly no answer to a HUGE problem, and didnt know what to do. So, I would go to a quiet place and humble myself before Yah, and then I would cast a lot, KNOWING that HE was answering my question. Please listen carefully friend, it is NOT about CASTING the lot!! It is ALL about HONORING the lot!!! There is NO SUCH THING AS BEST 2 outa 3!!! These emmisaries understood this COMPLETELY!!! Because they knew the principle of lot casting, they honored it with they’re lives. It is a very sacred thing to do, because you are putting your FAITH and TRUST in YAH to answer!!! Eliyahu did a wonderful job of driving home the point that these MEN were Not starting a NEW RELIGION!! Once again, they were well aware of WHO they were, and WHAT they’re position was. THese are TRibal men, they were the male headship of they’re day!!! fgmk’awegfhklhklwekhlwefjwfejwjsefnfk;efnwefhk#$$%&^*(23XC sdgdhGHJSDsdfhkkgfjksfddfhaaeraergaeerer Dont get me wrong, we love these pople, but dont expect to come in to MY house and take over with this kinda stuff. Anyway, the bottom line is this, I am so thankful to my emmisaries that they stuck to what scripture said, and didnt go off and do something contrary to Yahweh!!!

Great lesson on the Kingdom Order and how Israel is the focus of the New Covenant Scriptures. This whole Talmidim process is just that, a process. For us old timers who have been indoctrinated with inaccurate Christian teaching for so many years before finding the truth, there is a lot of unlearning that needs to take place.
Thanks for explaining the concept of “casting lots” and how Yahweh’s will is manifested, under the right circumstances. I like the way you explained how Peter addresses the other Talmidim gathered that day when they needed to replace Judas. If Peter were looking to take control of the group and set himself up as “the leader” or Pope, he probably would have lobbied for “his guy” to be the one to take Judas’ position as the 12th Emissary. At best they would have had a “democratic” vote among the other 11. Funny when I think about, when the Catholic Church elects a new Pope my understanding is that it is a highly political event. I don’t know how much prayer goes into the decision that each of the Cardinals has to make when they cast their vote for the Pope, (only YHWH knows) but knowing the nature of men I can guarantee that there is a whole lot of politicking going on, to be sure. All of which is a mute point since they veered off course 1700+ years ago in adopting the Greco-Roman mindset and co-opting the Davidic Kingdom from Israel. What isn’t an insignificant point is that they have been teaching flawed doctrine for 17 centuries. Isn’t it interesting that shortly after the Romans “took over” the church system the world went into a 1000 year time of darkness (The Dark Ages). It’s almost as if time stood still while the angelic beings on both sides were battling it out. I don’t know, just a thought.
I’m always amazed at YHWH’s patience, and eternally grateful for it!
Shalom,
Don

This teaching points out to me the very practical nature of Yahweh reesablishing the Kingdom through Yeshua and the appointment of His emissaries in that process. I see through this the truth that this was no new religion but the renewal of the Kingdom of Israel which began with the immersion of John as foretold in the Prophets. This makes it plain to me this was no new thing but an established order Yahweh set up at the time of Moses and the giving of the Torah. To see the elders functioning within the body of Messiah as peers is very instuctive as to our conduct within that body.
