And when He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in Heaven for about half an hour.
And I saw the seven angels who stood before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.
And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer. And many incenses were given to him, so that he should offer it with the prayers of all holy ones on the golden altar before the throne.

Great Tribulation Begins
 

And the smoke of the incense which came with the prayers of all holy ones, ascended up before God from the angel’s hand. And the angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar, and cast it into the land. And voices and thunderings and lightnings and an earthquake occurred.

 
And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound. ..And the third angel sounded, and a great star burning like a lamp fell from the heaven, and it fell on the third part of the rivers and on the fountains of waters. And the name of the star is called Wormwood, and a third part of the waters became wormwood. And many men died from the waters, because they were made bitter.  Revelation 8

    Fifth Seal - How Long O Lord?
    When he opened the fifth seal,
    I saw underneath the altar
    the souls of those
    who had been killed
    for the Word of God,
    and for the testimony
    of the Lamb
    which they held.

    They cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true,
    until you judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”
    A long white robe was given to each of them.
    They were told that they should rest yet for a while,
    until their fellow servants and their brothers,
    who would also be killed even as they were,
    should complete their course.     Revelation 6:9-11

    After the opening of the fifth seal
    the righteous will be asking;
