By now we all should know that “Christ was not born on Christmas.” Any reputable encyclopedia will tell you that. So when is Messiah’s birthday? We can fix this day with a good measure of certainty on the Biblical Calendar. Be aware however, that the Biblical Calendar is not the same as the Gregorian Calendar (the Roman Calendar on your wall) or even the modern Jewish Calendar (changed starting in the 4th century). In this program we will explain the differences between these calendars and will show you from the Bible exactly which day is Messiah’s birthday.

These days, the word “Evangelist” calls to mind a very different image than the Biblical word actually suggests. In this program we will discuss the “Evangel” (good news, gospel), the “Evangelist” (messenger of good news) and what it means to “preach” the good news, in the true Biblical sense. Here’s a hint - it doesn’t involve church buildings at all! We will also explore the origin of the concept of the Evangelist (you guessed it) in the Tenach (”Old Testament”) to learn what the fullness of the “Good News”actually includes. You probably won’t be surprised, as a listener of our program, to learn that much has been stripped away from the original “Gospel” message. The redemption of Israel, for example. But never fear! This program makes a good start at putting it all back where it belongs!

As people living along the east coast of the USA prepared for work the morning of September 11, 2001 it was a beautiful sun-shiny day like so many others. Who of them was prepared for the horrible events soon to unfold on that evil day? That lack of preparation proved to be a worse enemy than the actual enemy that planned and caused a massive loss of life on what we now simply call “9/11″ in this “post 9/11″ world. 9/11 is a modern example of an age-old scenario that has caught people of countless generations unawares. The talmidim / disciples of Messiah offer a prime example of how the evil day can catch good people unawares. Even the most courageous of them failed the test of that evil day. Their story is recorded in Scripture, not to embarrass them, but to be an object lesson for us so that we WILL NOT fail the test when our own evil day falls upon us. In this final generation we need to realize that there are more evil days coming in which things will happen that we can’t now even imagine. This program is meant to fortify you to be able to stand when the evil day comes, no matter what it may bring.
