Zerubbabel and the Remnant #29
Posted by TsiyonJul 29
[60 mins in mp3] Zerubbabel was a descendant of King David who received the Temple treasures from the hand of Cyrus the king of Persia and led the Remnant out of Babylon to rebuild the Temple and re-establish true worship in Tsiyon. In doing so he and the returnees became part of a Divine drama pointing forward to the completion of the task that is presently just over the horizon for the Remnant of Israel in this final generation, here at the End of the Age. If you are part of that Remnant or sympathetic with them you will not want to miss this program!

This is the same message as the 2 olive trees, right? on my mp3 player, the title here is the “2 Olives Trees”
This is a great teaching. I heard this teaching at least 5 or 6 times. I was thinking about the material that was presented here about the house of Yahweh is going to be rebuilt, the order that Yahweh is going to do it. The same order He has started before. Now the stones are scattered, the church by large today, has another way of thinking about this (the replacement theology) or even those that believe that Yahweh isn’t done with Israel still have a misunderstanding, for example, the pre-trib rapture view. There are some messianic rabbis who know that Yahweh isn’t done with Israel, that all all Israel shall be saved (Rom 9-11) but still have belief or hope in the the pre-trib rapture view.
Easy question?
So christain scholars miss all of this, what about the Messianic rabbis or leaders? Did some of them miss all of this too? in light of the pre-trib rapture view? Do all the messianic rabbis or leaders understand the big picture? or only some of them?
I learned a lot about Cyrus & Zerubbabel, What a big role they each played. Well how little I knew, but when I hear these messages, I know it is so true, the spirit of Yahweh does speak to us. I have a lot more studying & reading of the Scriptures to do. I just finished reading in Josh right now. I have way more to go.
Yes that is right, we aren’t replaced, the house with-in the faithful believing remanant of Israel has to be rebuilt for a place for Yahweh to dwell, for reunification, restoration, and for a place for the gentile believers to be grafted into, and place for them to join themselves too. the center has to be built first.
Thank U for this message, everyone needs to hear this message, & all of the messages.

Teachers are limited in their vision by whatever paradigm they have been taught. The mind can be a prison. Only revelation from YHWH can break through all that to reveal a different and more accurate paradigm that is truly His plan and not the rationalizations born from the minds of men.

The foundation had been laid down by Yeshua. He set His corners and laid His first course of stones. Soon after, the workers forgot their purpose and began building other structures upon the base. In time it has become unrecognizable . Layer upon layer of rubblecover the site where construction must continue. What must we do to get the job finished?
The first stage of the project must be the demolition, removal, and disposal of everything built or deposited upon the site .After the detritus is completely removed, the masterbuilder, through His appointed leadmen, will recommence construction procedures.
His superintendent will delegate to the different building trades nescessary instructions
and plans. His foremen shall see to it that the laborers construct according to His plans and in keeping with His ‘codes’. His hod-carriers will see too it that His stonemasons are continually supplied with designated stones, they will mix and deliver mortar to the masons, and they will rake-out and the mortar joints after the stonelayers have set them in place,
In order to bring about the effective completion of this project I am urging all involved participants to perform their designated duties with excellency.

Wow, I don’t know where to begin or how you possibly got all of that information presented in less than an hour. I enjoyed the placing of events in history because what we sometimes fail to realize is that biblical history was and is biblical prophecy. The Amazing Elohim we serve is the only Elohim who knows the end from the beginning…What came to mind when you were reading about the capstone being placed and saying it is finished….was when Our Messiah said, It is finished on the cross…perhaps the last capstone if you will needed for us to be “The Living Temple.” And the indication of Grace being prevalant than and now, perhaps why Grace was said more than once indicating the prophecy of Grace being once again revealed to us when our Messiah on the cross would say It is Finished!! Another thing that came to mind was your description of oil in our lamps as the Menorah. As well as all of the verses in the renewed covenant that says you ARE the light of the world….we are the living Menorah. What a Profound Concept!
Although, we interpret the two anointed that Zechariah refers to differently, in that I think he is referring to The Anointed Ones Who Stood by the Lord in ALL of the World as the two who carried out his will on Earth: The Arch Angel Michael and Arch Angel Gabriel. I think the Angel thinks Zechariah should understand that for all that they have done….similar to Daniel and his encounter with them….I wonder if Daniel conversed with Zechariah about it….Anyway, I think whether we agree on those two or not your point still stands. The people were going to build the Temple by the Spirit of Yah.
Another item that struck me as interesting is when you were reading in Hosea about those returning with trembling and immediately I thought of the verse in the renewed covenant that says work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. I especially agreed with all of the discussion on Israel is the group that Yah chose to work with and continues to work with even though they have been punished. What strikes me these days the most is the inconsistency in which the world uses logic….there seems to be a different set of rules for Yah’s Word and The Word of Man. For, we understand as parents that we discipline our children, sometimes we send them away or sometimes we leave the situation, but NEVER DO WE LOOK FOR NEW CHILDREN TO REPLACE THEM. Of course, we would open our home and family to a child to COME INTO OUR FAMILY. I also thought the discussion on Judah does not understand that we are Israel too…..is so needed today. The verse that comes to mind in the provoking to Jealousy. A people with a purpose…what a great way to look at it. We just want to be what we are meant to be…co-heirs with Christ, according to the promise to Abraham’s seed.

I have studied the gold menorah mentioned in Zechariah as well as the two witnesses in Revelation and believed that they are related. I had also concluded that one of the olive trees was Zerubbabel in Zechariah, but could never figure out who the other olive tree was. After studying this for quite some time a while ago, I finally had to stop because I was not getting any further insight. Now this message has cleared up the fog and made my understanding complete. Thanks again for the great teaching.

This show is perplexing. The historic fufilment of scripture is always cool.I was previously not aware of Cyrus’s role as Yah’s instrument. And the revisit on the two Olive Tree’s is awesome. If I follow correctly then, the two witnesses from Revelation 11 should be (Davidic and a Levite). It is amazing how much the book of Zechariah is like a “Secret Decoder” for the book of Revelation.
This was simply an amazing hour.I got more from it the second time and honestly I had to do a few segments 3 or 4 times. The message took a few days to do the spin cycle in my brain. But it is amazing what God can do when he wants it done.We must appreciate that we have to play our part as well .I guess it would be like having a Conductor without a Orchestra .Or the utter confusion of an Orchestra without a Conductor.Sorry, I think in terms of Music, but I am sure we are all on the same page.
Blessing to all

Can prophecy be new, or is it how we perceive what is writ?
Zerubbabel to rebuild the Temple, had prophetic vision of it!
Golden mennorrah with spouts from two olive trees,
Holy Spirit aflame with grace, for those who choose to believe!
Hearts burn with desire, like lampstand in the Temple,
yet, belief in Yeshua, is more deep, than merely just the simple!
Zerubbabel, one of the two witnesses, that do stand annointed,
sturdy as a tree, bearing fruit, Holy appointed!
Out of babylon, Zerubbabel will lead the flock,
entrusted with treasures of Israel, waiting on the clock!
When it is time, we will all hear the sound,
” to the Promised Land,” our feet firmly on His ground!
The people of Israel, the remnant is not lost,
just scattered abroad, waiting for Word, from the Big Boss!
Zerubbabel, Prince of the house of David, Nassi,
in all of man’s splendor, only God can make a tree!

I think of Pardez when I am looking at scripture. Four levels of understanding when breaking down scripture. Pashat, Remez, Drash, and Sod. I do not thing any one human being can fully discharge the whole truth of the scriptures. As I was reading the comments above I see that we are still looking through a glass darkly… Some things we will just have to wait to see…
How anyone who has read the whole Bible can really hold to replacement theology???I never sat under any teachers who used this as a standard, but I had heard of others who had. The Holy Spirit will check you if your understanding of any particular scripture is off the mark. It may take some time before you are able to comprehend it, but He will eventually bring understanding as Yahshua promised He would guide us in all truth.
Gathering together the Outcast of Israel???HalleluYAH. The Remnant comes from both Houses! We will share the land as has been ordained.
Was not Cyrus the son of Hadassah (Ester)and Achashverosh?
Exciting teaching. The middle east region where the seat of Babylon is, is Babylon in the pashat; however, the false worship of Babylon has spread throughout the world. i.e., Christmas, Easter, etc…
We can not be lead by our emotions, but we must study to show ourselves approved unto Yahweh; a workmen that needs not be ashamed.
The treasures of Yahweh’s Temple were preserved to a degree that when the times came for the fulfillment of the rebuilding of the Temple they could be turned over to those who had the responsibility of rebuilding Jerusalem.
The two witnesses Caleb and Yahoshua were from the two houses; so will the end time witnesses be. What once was, will be again….

I learned something new today. I didn’t know that the term “Jew” is only referring to the house of Judah and that the inhabitants of the land of Israel were primarily Judeans. I wonder why the other tribes of Israel didn’t come back to help build the temple with Zerubbabel. Were they so far removed from Yahweh that they weren’t included with the group that Cyrus allowed to return to Jerusalem?
In a way I am glad I didn’t realize that the land of Israel was primarily, or perhaps exclusively, Judeans and that the Jews essentially excluded their brothers as heirs to the promises of Yahweh (i.e. the other 10 or 11 tribes–I believe Benjamin aligned themselves with Judah in the Pre-Babylonian days. Not sure how that all shook out when the remnant returned to Jerusalem with Zerubbabel at Cyrus’ decree). I wonder why Yahweh allowed only the Judeans to return. Maybe because of the total disobedience and outright evil of the Pre-Babylonian kings of Israel.
It actually makes sense after giving it some thought. David’s family was given the covenant from Yahweh and Yahweh keeps His covenants. So He sent them back to rebuild His house.
Eliyahu points out an amazing truth that I am just recently realizing, and that is that Yahweh is opening the eyes of the remnant people and allowing them to see what the prophesies of Ezekiel and Hosea really mean.
Looking back on my life I see it. From my early days as a believer I have always had a fondness for Israel (the land, the country and the people). That fondness grew into a love for the people and the land. Now I know why. Yahweh is calling me home… 23 years ago He began calling me home.
Another thing I have noticed. Yahweh, over the last 2-3 years, has gradually taken away the love I had for this country (USA). I could write pages on this topic but sufice it to say that we as a country (USA) have turned our backs on God, why would I want to be apart of this charade? I no longer hope that things will change here. The tidal wave of evil is overcoming this country. The hearts of the people by and large are bad. The conceit and pride runs rampant in this society. When I see all this happening, and after Yahweh cools my anger, my heart is saddened for all those lost souls who haven’t a clue about any of this and don’t seem to want to know.
All those people, Eliyahu, that you saw in your dream chained to the track and they seemed happy to be there. How tragic!
I’m so grateful that He has called us out of the darkness and into His wonderful light. Can’t wait til He brings us home.
Shalom.
Don

This teaching has helped to clear alot of speculation and misunderstanding concerning the two witnesses in revelation and also how it is related to the two olive trees in Zechariah. In view of how Yahweh is moving the nation of Israel in these last days and how he is doing it is exciting to me. The way this is presented is so plain and without assumptions and speculations. It is quite clear in the scriptures that this is the way things are ordered by Yahweh.

This was another exciting and meaty lesson.
The teaching on the Oil leaving the 2 Olive trees going directly into the people of God was facinating. He is the light and He lights our paths by His spirit.
The light of the world, pouring His light, (oil) into His people.
Truly it is Yahweh who helps us move those mountains in our lives. We can never boast that we did it. It takes a mighty God in us to accomplish that.
It is hard for me to hear the things about the church today, how it has spirtitualized so very much in the scriptures. At times in my journey with the church, I have felt as if I have failed them, and I have. I have never felt at “home” in church. I went because I felt thats what everyone should do. I cannot help but think that in so many ways the system has failed me. Not the people specifically, but the system. We are recieving falsehoods about Gods word.
The church doesnt recognize Israel as Gods chosen nation and they dont teach that the bible is jewish and they dont tell you that when God makes a covenant with His nation, He is not going to break it. The scriptures and the covenants were for the jewish people, His nation. The gentiles are grafted into these promises and covenants by faith. Salvation comes from the Jewish Messiah, thru the Nation of Israel.
I love to think that God will be a sanctuary to the remnant wherever they are in the world. His purpose will come about just as planned, I pray for His people to open thier hearts and recieve His will for thier lives.
His people are scattered, they havent arrived. May He lead them, light the way for them, return them to thier land. May they be “One Nation Under their God”. What a glorious reality for everyone of His children, remnant and gentile alike.

I love reading Biblical histories, because they truly are shadow pictures of what is to come. Everything that happened to Israel then, is a lesson plan for us today. I just pray that the Father will continue to give us revelation and reveal to us everything that we need to prepare for the future.

I was thrilled to hear this lesson on the last day of Hannukka because it was especially meaningful. The Temple menorah burned for 8 days on one portion of oil. What a picture of the remnant being filled up with Yahweh’s Light and Spirit and the next 2 witnesses of the time of tribulation.
Eretz Israel will be the place that Yahweh will return all the remnant to. The Temple is being rebuilt in us as we are lead into all truth by His Spirit!
One of the most profound things I read so many years ago by a messianic author was, “why would HaShem break off branches of the Jews who wouldn’t obey Torah and graft in a strange people who also wouldn’t obey Torah.” Not obeying is unbelief; not trusting. That was the turning point of my life and I finally had eyes to see.
How blessed I was by this lesson today.

So much teaching packed into less than 1 hour, wonderful! I learned so much through this session, thank you Eliyahu for opening my eyes to so many hidden truths.
I was stunned to hear the way E pulled out the likenesses between Cyrus and Yeshua, particularly the setting free of the remnant to return to rebuild the temple. There truly is no new thing under the Sun. Before ever hearing Eliyahu, I was eagerly awaiting the rebuliding of the literal Temple in Jerusalem; I was so blind. Learning to let those shackles fall away has been difficult at times, but I understand what Eliyahu means when he says the mind can be a prison (in above comments). How liberating to be set free!
A couple of other things grabbed my attention and I am excited to see how they will turn out. Who is/will be our Levitical leader? Are these two leaders the same as the two witnesses of Revelation(I think that is what you mean)? Are the treasures simply the members of the remnant or are the real Temple treasures also going to be returned (this reminded me of E speaking about Jeremiah’s cave and the Ark of the Covenant in another session!).
I have a burr in my saddle. I am sick and tired of the world and its lies. I praise YHWH that HE has set me free and that He is my sanctuary as I wait to return, how I long to return home.
I agree with 2Miriam; I was very blessed by this session. Thank you Eliyahu and Dawn.
Shalom.

Starting with a prophecy for Zerubbabel given through Zechariah (recorded in his book in chapter 4 verses 1-14) in which the people of God are portrayed as a menorah whose lamps are fed with the oil from 2 olive trees which represent the family of David and the Levites, this lesson shows how the post-exhilic temple was built “not by might and not be power” but by the Spirit of God, Yahweh Sabaoth.
We find that the Medo-Persian king that conquered Babylon, Cyrus, is mentioned by name in Isaiah’s prophecy - Isaiah 44:27-28 and 45:11. There is then an analysis of this prophecy. This passage has been interpreted by the Church to see in Cyrus and Zerubbabel as types of Christ/Messiah. A close analysis shows that this cannot hold. Whereas Cyrus can indeed be seen as a type of Messiah, seeing as he is a king of kings and is addressed even as God’s anointed one who will do God’s will. Zerubbabel, on the other hand, foreshadows one who will serve Yeshua in the task of building the Temple.
The prophecy in Zechariah has application today. the generation in which the Temple made of living stones is to be completed. Israel is being stirred. Israel is awakening, being reminded of their forgotten heritage and responsibilities. The Spirit is moving. The description of the current state of the Temple reminds me of the second dream recorded in “Holy Order Restored”, but the Spirit is moving.
It is thought by many that Israel has disappeared and that it is only those of the tribe of Judah who are visible in the world as Jews that are God’s chosen people. But God knows where Israel is to be found; they are not forgotten, and He will fulfill His promises to them to bring them back to the land. (Ezekiel 11:14-20 and Hosea 3:4-5)
Blessed art Thou, oh Lord our God, King of the Universe,
